A day of relaxation @ Penticton, BC

It was a beautiful day. We slept in, watched the latest MotoGP race, did laundry at the local laundromat, and experienced Tim Horton’s for the first time like true Canadians.
After the laundromat we rented paddle boards and took them out on the lake. While paddle boarding we looked longingly upon a blow up playground for kids:

We considered bribing a child to pretend to be ours but couldn’t find any children who would accept USD. So we settled for a float on the water.

After paddle boarding we found Adam’s favorite restaurant of the trip: a soup and sandwich place named Brodo. They used fresh ingredients and an in-house made broth for their soup. We could tell this restaurant was someone’s dream realized.
After Brodo we made a quick stop at the grocery store to pack up for tomorrow, took a nap at the hotel, and watched some professional Disc Golf. We’re a no-spoilers blog, so we won’t spoil the Des Moines open for anyone but we highly recommend watching the final round. Just search “JomezPro Des Moines 2024” on YouTube, assuming you’re interested in watching some great disc golf and I (Adam) don’t know why you wouldn’t be.
We finished our relaxation day by eating a “girl dinner” (skipping dinner in favor of a copious amount of snack food, shout out to Annabel for popularizing the term) and seeing Inside Out 2 at the Canadian Landmark.
Tomorrow we take the Ferry to Vancouver Island!
